About Emma Harrison

As a third-generation farmer, Emma Harrison has always cared deeply about the world around her. Born and raised on her family's farm, Emma developed a strong appreciation for hard work, community, and the land that sustains us. Today, she continues to run the family farm alongside her husband, who also serves as a paramedic, and her three children.

Emma has always felt supported by the beautiful place she calls home. When the opportunity arose to seek public office, she saw it as a chance to give back to the community that had given so much to her and her family.

Before entering politics, Emma was a farmer, small business owner, and accomplished athlete. She earned a lacrosse scholarship to Niagara University, where she studied sociology with a minor in ethics, and went on to represent Team Canada, earning M.V.P. twice during her athletic career.

In April 2025, Emma was elected as the Member of Parliament for Peterborough. Emma is committed to building a stronger future for our children and future generations.

Emma is proud to serve the community she has always called home and remains dedicated to building a stronger future for the Peterborough riding and all Canadians.

Emma cares deeply about building a stronger, more secure future for the next generations. She is passionate about protecting the environment, strengthening Canada's food security and sovereignty, and ensuring children are safe both online and in their everyday lives. She believes innovation and artificial intelligence have the potential to improve lives, but that they must be adopted thoughtfully and responsibly to protect people, communities, and the world future generations will inherit.

She is a strong advocate for conservation and access to nature, believing that connecting people to outdoor spaces helps foster a greater appreciation for the environment and the responsibility we all share in protecting it.

Emma cares deeply about Canada's sovereignty and believes that Canadians have far more in common than what divides them. She values collaboration, respectful dialogue, and good ideas, regardless of where they come from.

Committed to making life more affordable, helping businesses of all sizes succeed, ensuring seniors can age with dignity and security, and creating opportunities for families and young people, Emma wants to ensure that Peterborough remains a place where every generation can thrive, put down roots, and build a bright future.
